The 38th Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival
If you consider yourself a “foodie” with the appetite to prove it, you won’t want to miss the Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival. This amazing spectacle features top-shelf cuisine from over 65 local restaurants. This is a chance for some of the area’s best chefs to strut their stuff in front of the local community. The event also hosts dozens of arts and crafts vendors, live music and a craft beer tasting at the Church Street Beer & Wine Garden. There is so much to love and taste at this signature smorgasbord of flavor. The event kicks off on September 17th, 2017.
The 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off
Once a year, the best chili makers in the state compete against one another for the ultimate prize, the People’s Choice Award for the best chili and $1000 in cash. Over 70 different cooks and teams participate in this festive celebration of all things red and meaty. Most of the cooks are local business people, neighbors, and restauranteurs, creating a diverse crowd that makes the entire competition all the more exciting. You’ll also find plenty of vendors selling homemade goods and delicious fall treats. Not to mention, all the proceeds from the event go to local charities. This year’s cook-off is taking place on October 8th, 2017.
In case you didn’t know, West Chester pulls out all the stops when it comes to Halloween. The Halloween Parade is a chance for the community to get together and celebrate this zany holiday with massive floats and stellar performances from local marching bands, cheerleaders, and high school dance teams. It’s a family-friendly affair that’s about celebrating local talent and pumping up enthusiasm for the town’s favorite holiday. The parade starts on Market Street between Church and Darlington and runs all the way through the center of town. You can catch the big event on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017.
