To help you get started, here’s a list of the exciting things you can do in and around West Chester during the summer months:

  1. Attend concerts

If you’re a big music fan, you’re in luck since many concerts will take place in West Chester this summer. The 34th annual Turks Head Music Festival, for example, will be held on July 17 in Everhart Park. The Marshall Square Park, meanwhile, will host three free concerts-slash-community picnics on June 16, July 21, and August 18 at the gazebo.

  1. Join local events and festivities

Aside from concerts, you can also take part in other events that will be held in West Chester. For instance, if you have little kids who are awestruck by trucks, you can attend the Touch a Truck Day, which will take place on August 14 at the Chester County Government Services Building Parking Lot and will feature dozens of different vehicles. You can also join the Swingin’ Summer Thursdays, which will be held on July 7, August 4, and September 1 and will have clowns, jugglers, and magicians as well as great food and music.

  1. Watch plays

Catch the plays and musicals that will be shown in West Chester this summer and have a fun night with your family and friends! If you’re a big fan of Shakespeare, make sure to watch “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, which will be performed by the PA Leadership Charter School’s Center for Performing and Fine Arts on July 31. Other shows include “Tartuffe”, which will be performed by the Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company on July 21, and “Company”, which will be performed by the Bravo Theatre Company on August 18 to 21.

  1. Enjoy good food and drinks

Visit the West Chester Grower’s Market to have access to fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other produce as well as delicious delicacies like cheeses, pies, jams, and breads. Of course, you can drop by the many cafes, diners, pizzerias, bars, pubs, and restaurants in Downtown West Chester to enjoy a wide range of great food and drinks. If you live in 124 Marketplace and don’t want to walk far to get snacks, don’t worry since T’Ever Cafe and Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwiches are just downstairs, offering an array of tasty refreshments and giving you instant access to your favorite subs and coffee.
